Moxy Slough

The excellence of this hotel was a total surprise. We had booked it for our last two nights (of 40) in England before flying home to San Francisco, and we chose it mainly for its low cost (about 100 pounds per night) and its location next to the train station to London Paddington station. We spent a day in London and the Moxy's location was perfect for that. It is also close to Windsor Castle and the Harry Potter studio tour. And, wonder of wonders in England, which is a nightmare of high-priced parking, the hotel parking was free! As to the hotel itself, first, the room was larger than the typical English hotel room, which had barely enough room for our two suitcases. We were amazed at the under-the-bed night lights which are motion-activated, so we didn't have to leave the bathroom light on. The hot water was quick, the sink was not the micro-mini type we had in several hotels, the shower was modern, and the lights by the bed were bright enough to read by, a rarity in English hotels. Finally, there was a small gym, another rarity. The staff were very welcoming and check-in was a breeze. Check-out time was noon, which we were very grateful for since our flight was not till 5:30 pm and there is nothing to do in the immediate neighborhood of Slough to while away a few hours.

The Moxy was extremely clean and the staff were exceptionally friendly from the minute we walked in to the minute we walked out. The bar staff at night were very nice and helped whenever they could. The lounge area was full of games and offered a lovely way to spend the evening after a long day. The room that we stayed in was very comfortable and continued to feel like a home away from home over the course of my stay. The Moxy will definitely be my choice of hotel again for next year's Comic Con!

it was originally designed. some quirky decor items. had a very practical, homey almost « Friends » the Tv séries vibe about it. the room was ergonomic and clean with fantastic lighting. the staff were all very very friendly and the lobby and reception is basically a bar! the food and drink is good too

The hotel was indeed very close to the station, we could even see it from our room. When we arrived the staff was very helpful with any questions I had regarding transport. The room was very nice and clean, it exceeded expectations! Tip: the Elizabeth Line takes about 35 minutes but the GWR takes less than 15 minutes

Fun, funky and fresh hotel, super modern and contemporary feel. Great staff, good choice of food and drink, lots of lovely little extra touches. Superb value for money. Very well located next to train station.
